Is it like a tattoo? - Yes. However, pigments for the face are different than those used for conventional body tattoos.
What types of pigments are used? - Pigments used are iron oxide based and specifically formulated for facial use. Data sheet available.
Can the pigments affect MRI's? - You may experience a slight heat sensation in the area pigmented but a data sheet is available addressing that particular question. I have had 2 MRI's and experienced no problems.
Does it hurt? - Everyone's level of pain tolerance is different. I am extremely sensitive to any pain a client might experience. Topical anesthetic is frequently used to minimize pain, and make the client as comfortable as possible during the procedure.
How long does a procedure take? - Depending on the individual and how responsive he/she is to the topical, it can take 2-3 hours.
How long does it take to heal? - Again this depends on the individual. For the eyes and brows it can take normally 1-3 days. For the lips, some people have no swelling, while others have minimal swelling.
